كَلَّا بَلْ تُحِبُّونَ ٱلْعَاجِلَةَNo! But you [i.e., mankind] love the immediateوَتَذَرُونَ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَAnd leave [i.e., neglect] the Hereafter.وُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍ نَّاضِرَةٌ[Some] faces, that Day, will be radiant,إِلَىٰ رَبِّهَا نَاظِرَةٌLooking at their Lord.وَوُجُوهٌ يَوْمَئِذٍۭ بَاسِرَةٌAnd [some] faces, that Day, will be contorted,تَظُنُّ أَن يُفْعَلَ بِهَا فَاقِرَةٌExpecting that there will be done to them [something] backbreaking.كَلَّآ إِذَا بَلَغَتِ ٱلتَّرَاقِىَNo! When it [i.e., the soul] has reached the collar bonesوَقِيلَ مَنْ رَاقٍAnd it is said, "Who will cure [him]?"وَظَنَّ أَنَّهُ ٱلْفِرَاقُAnd he [i.e., the dying one] is certain that it is the [time of] separationوَٱلْتَفَّتِ ٱلسَّاقُ بِٱلسَّاقِAnd the leg is wound about the leg,إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ يَوْمَئِذٍ ٱلْمَسَاقُTo your Lord, that Day, will be the procession.فَلَا صَدَّقَ وَلَا صَلَّىٰAnd he [i.e., the disbeliever] had not believed, nor had he prayed.وَلَـٰكِن كَذَّبَ وَتَوَلَّىٰBut [instead], he denied and turned away.ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ يَتَمَطَّىٰٓAnd then he went to his people, swaggering [in pride].أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰWoe to you, and woe!ثُمَّ أَوْلَىٰ لَكَ فَأَوْلَىٰٓThen woe to you, and woe!أَيَحْسَبُ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَن يُتْرَكَ سُدًىDoes man think that he will be left neglected?أَلَمْ يَكُ نُطْفَةً مِّن مَّنِىٍّ يُمْنَىٰHad he not been a sperm from semen emitted?ثُمَّ كَانَ عَلَقَةً فَخَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰThen he was a clinging clot, and [Allāh] created [his form] and proportioned [him]فَجَعَلَ مِنْهُ ٱلزَّوْجَيْنِ ٱلذَّكَرَ وَٱلْأُنثَىٰٓAnd made of him two mates, the male and the female.أَلَيْسَ ذَٰلِكَ بِقَـٰدِرٍ عَلَىٰٓ أَن يُحْـِۧىَ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰIs not that [Creator] Able to give life to the dead?

Al-Insan · The Man
بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
هَلْ أَتَىٰ عَلَى ٱلْإِنسَـٰنِ حِينٌ مِّنَ ٱلدَّهْرِ لَمْ يَكُن شَيْـًٔا مَّذْكُورًاHas there [not] come upon man a period of time when he was not a thing [even] mentioned?إِنَّا خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن نُّطْفَةٍ أَمْشَاجٍ نَّبْتَلِيهِ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ سَمِيعًۢا بَصِيرًاIndeed, We created man from a sperm-drop mixture that We may try him; and We made him hearing and seeing.إِنَّا هَدَيْنَـٰهُ ٱلسَّبِيلَ إِمَّا شَاكِرًا وَإِمَّا كَفُورًاIndeed, We guided him to the way, be he grateful or be he ungrateful.إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ سَلَـٰسِلَا۟ وَأَغْلَـٰلًا وَسَعِيرًاIndeed, We have prepared for the disbelievers chains and shackles and a blaze.إِنَّ ٱلْأَبْرَارَ يَشْرَبُونَ مِن كَأْسٍ كَانَ مِزَاجُهَا كَافُورًاIndeed, the righteous will drink from a cup [of wine] whose mixture is of Kāfūr,
